CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Kalpa Seva Arogya Kendra, Gandhinagar
Kalpataru Welfare Trust runs a state-of-the-art medical dispensary at Gandhinagar, Gujarat to provide medical services to economically distressed people in and around Gandhinagar, Gujarat on a regular basis. This medical dispensary is a multi-specialty dispensary with ultra-modern facilities (X- Ray, Sonography, Dental etc.) The cutting-edge equipment in the pathological laboratory is highly effective in catering to the medical requirements of those in need. Apart from the facilities, the dispensary has eminent personalities from the medical fraternity of Gandhinagar attending to the basic medical requirements at very nominal cost. It serves the patients 24/7, providing free medicine along with specialized doctor’s services with very minimal charges. Every day approx. 140 patients avail the medical services. In addition, a dispensary is also functional at Mumbai which collaborates with well-meaning NGOs and individuals to provide specialized healthcare (consultation and treatment) at subsidized rates.
Recently, Kalpataru Foundation has undertaken a Project to establish a similar medical dispensary near the Raipur Plant of the Company and the project is expected to be completed in FY 21-22.
MRI Centre at Kalpa Seva Arogya Kendra, Gandhinagar
Kalpataru Welfare Trust has initiated this CSR Program to augment the existing medical dispensary with an MRI Screening machine. Presently, there is a scarcity of MRI scanning centers in Gandhinagar District, forcing patients to travel to Ahmedabad for an MRI screening. The MRI Centre is being set up with the latest equipment and technology. At the helm are renowned radiologists with an aim to provide screening services to the economically underprivileged sections of society at concessional rates. The Centre shall be accessible to the nearby towns and villages of Gandhinagar.
