Taljhari – Maharajpur (West Bengal)

The project for construction/railway doubling up to formation involving earth work in cutting and filling on railway embankment, supplying and spreading blanketing materials over formation, construction of RCC box, bridges, retaining walls and other ancillary works excluding lP-Way (inking) , S&T and OHE in the state of Jharkhand for Eastern Railway.

Major challenge for project execution was its site location as it’s in remote tribal areas of Jharkhand, created constraints on mobilization of resources and execution. Another major challenge was the parallel flow of the river Ganga to the railways line with its back waters making it difficult to construct bridges.
