Sustainability

As an organisation, we acknowledge that sustainability is not just a buzzword for us, but a guiding principle for responsible business conduct. For us, sustainability entails striking a balance between economic growth, social advancement, and environmental stewardship. We fully grasp the pressing urgency of addressing climate change and the ever-increasing demand for sustainable solutions within the construction industry.

Through intentional engagement with our stakeholders and thorough analysis of evolving needs, we have identified key actions that necessitate our undivided attention. Our ultimate objective is the continual pursuit of sustainable development. In order to meet these expectations and fulfill our role as a responsible business, we are firmly committed to implementing tangible measures and are making environmentally conscious decisions.

One of our primary focuses lies in embracing renewable energy sources and integrating them into our projects, thereby reducing our dependence on fossil fuels and minimizing greenhouse gas emissions. We harness the power of solar, wind, biomass, and other renewable resources to achieve this.

Furthermore, alongside renewable energy, we are dedicated to optimizing resource consumption. Through meticulous planning and execution, we strive to achieve carbon neutrality, water-positive status, minimize waste, enhance energy efficiency, and embrace the principles of a circular economy. We actively seek out sustainable materials and construction practices that mitigate environmental impact throughout the entire lifespan of our projects.

Moreover, we are enthusiastic about replenishing the resources we utilize. By actively investing in afforestation efforts and adopting rainwater harvesting & water treatment techniques, we aim to restore and safeguard natural ecosystems. We firmly believe that nurturing biodiversity and conserving natural resources are pivotal in constructing a sustainable future.

Water Positive

  • Our water consumptions are strategically aligned to utilize surface water over groundwater withdrawal which reduces the stress on the water table.
  • Our power-generating plants are classic examples of the utilization of surface water.
  • We have water harvesting reservoirs at our manufacturing plant and are enhancing the capacity every year.
  • We are mapping the water-scarce areas and all options to implement water harvesting projects through the engagement of community and local bodies.

Circular Economy

We are committed in our pursuit to achieve a circular economy for construction and demolition waste by 2035. In alignment with this commitment, a robust waste management policy has been set in motion. Waste materials undergo meticulous collection, segregation, and disposal through accredited agencies.

    Metal Waste:
  • We ensure a 100% utilization of metal waste, encompassing structural steel, reinforced steel, and flat steel scrap, which is sold to re-processors for subsequent reuse or recycling.
  • Recycle & Reuse of Construction and Demolition Waste:
  • We actively promote the recycling and reuse of construction and demolition waste, embracing sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact.
  • Hazardous & Non-Hazardous Material Disposal:
  • All hazardous and non-hazardous materials are conscientiously directed to government-registered recyclers, upholding our commitment to responsible waste management and environmental stewardship.

Ban on Plastic

We understand the detrimental impact of single-use plastics on our environment, particularly our oceans and ecosystems. Aligned with our values, we will be implementing an immediate, comprehensive ban on single-use plastics within our company. This action will not only reduce our carbon footprint but also promote responsible consumption and waste reduction.
